U.S. Senate Candidate Mick Rich Calls Luján Out of Touch with Christians

NM Rep. Ben Ray Luján has demonstrated just how far apart he is from Christians and Catholics by endorsing abortion during Advent, said Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, Mick Rich.

Not only did Luján announce his coveted endorsement by the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) during the first week of Advent, he rejoiced in abortion, Rich said.

“As Christians around the world celebrate the beginning of Jesus’ life on Earth, Ben Ray Luján celebrates something very different,” Rich said. “Mr. Lujan favors ending the miracle of life before it has a chance – or a choice. This is so blatantly offensive; it makes you wonder if he is writing off New Mexico’s Christians and Catholics.”

NARAL has awarded Luján a 100% pro-abortion score for his votes in Congress.

“When Jesus of Nazareth was conceived by an unwed mother in a poor remote village of Israel, King Herod responded by slaughtering thousands of innocent infants,” Rich said. “The timeless shame and horror of those events plays out today, as abortion activists seize the hearts of politicians such as Ben Ray Luján. These abortion activists cruelly respond to the struggle endured by so many women by offering the promise of freedom at the expense of human life.

“Raising my children with my wife, Marion, has blessed me with an unshakeable awe and reverence for the miracle of life,” Rich said. “That’s something Ben Ray Luján clearly lacks.

“I am pro-family and pro-life, from the womb to the tomb, and I oppose every one of Ben Ray Luján’s anti-family policies.”
